Leaving on a Jet Plane

Meredith and I are leaving tomorrow for El Salvador and will be returning late on Sunday night.

Although we will be missing a practice or two, its not nearly as bad as missing a game and the first game at that! (Coach)

Don't forget about us and hopefully we can schedule a practice the week before the wedding when we get back if its not to crazy for the bride and groom.

Practice

I just scheduled us a practice on Monday, August 4th from 7-9 at City Park #4. I plan on trying to give everyone a call today or tomorrow, but if you run into any teammates try to spread the word

If this is a problem for anyone, just let me know. Also, if you don't know what field that is give me a call.

Uniform

The Uniforms have been ordered from Graham Sporting goods. They are blue and will look just like this on the front.
Luckily because of our great sponsers (Dr. Smith and Dr. Juengel) we were able to afford not only great bats, but also names and numbers on the backs of our jerseys (an unneeded but exciting addition afforded to us by their generosity).
GSG allows two weeks for production so im assuming we will be picking up the jerseys when my wife and I return from our trip to Central America.

Sandlot Sluggers Up to Bat

Hello everyone. We are the Sandlot Sluggers- and we just had our very first practice.

It was really muggy out there and the mosquitoes really got to some people, but we survived I suppose.

Hey... we had our first injury too... TR got hit with the ball by Davis who was really showing promise for knocking out other team's pitchers!

Anyway, it hurt him pretty bad... but hey, that's what sports are about, right? Getting hurt and winning? NO. It's about playing a fun, safe and clean game. Maybe.

Oh- and Chris hit a home-run (zomg!) with the female sized Softball! We have yet to see one with a man ball, but the season is young my friends!
